Mitigate Fall-Risk & Maximize Independence
Seat and Wheelchair Wireless Monitoring is a versatile new feature that will allow you to discreetly monitor fall-risk residents and will alert the caregiver when a fall-risk resident attempts to get up, prompting immediate assistance.
The Seat and Wheelchair Wireless Monitoring kit includes a seat pressure pad, connector cable, and a pre-assembled wheelchair monitor station with a metal clip assembly.
How It Works
To assemble, simply attach the monitor to the chair and then plug the pad into the connection in front. The seat pressure pad, which can be tucked under a seat cushion if desired, monitors the fall-risk resident in their chair or wheelchair. When a resident attempts to get out of the seat or when the cable is disconnected from the monitor, a notification is sent to your Tel-Tron emergency call system and any subsequent notification devices, such as pagers, radios, or handsets.
The alarm is inaudible to the resident in need, but allows a caregiver to get to the resident quickly and assist them, preventing a potential fall and doing so without the resident having to overtly call for assistance.
This discreet detection and notification method allows residents who are prone to falling to get the extra assistance they may require, while still retaining their sense of mobility and independence.
And it allows caregivers to monitor fall-risk residents at all times, without compromising the resident’s dignity in the process.
